CREATE & LEARN

The Major Lee Berra Creation Station is a hands-on learning environment at the Museum that introduces children five-and-under to all modes of transportation while developing and enriching their primary early learning skills. The self-directed educational play place is enjoyed by children with a parent or guardian.

Host a Party
HANDCAR VILLAGE

Children enjoy hand-powering KidSteam handcars in Owney’s Village. $6 per person for a ride wristband (includes handcar village & The Wm. F. Ross Special Miniature Train). Museum admission additional and required.

RIDE THE TRAIN

Take a ride on The Wm. F. Ross Special Miniature Train. Fit for all ages, our experienced conductors and engineers give the “All Aboard” signal and off you go on a seven-minute excursion! Ages 12 months or older need a $6 wristband for The Wm. F. Ross Special Miniature Train ride and handcars. Enjoy unlimited rides for the day of your visit. Museum admission additional and required. Train operates on the hour & :20 & :40 minutes past.

…Clang. The historic trolley leaves the Roberts’ Pavilion Platform on the hour and at :20 & :40 past the hour. The trolley operation and restoration projects are completed by dedicated volunteers. While riding a trolley at the Museum, please feel free to support the volunteer efforts by donating to the fare box inside the car.

BARRETT’S LANDING CAFÉ

FOOD AND DRINK

Barrett’s Landing Cafe’ is a great place to visit for lunch. Grab a meal, quick snack, or an on-the-move bite. It’s just “plane” good. Featuring menu items for every eater—picky or not—or even just a cup of coffee to start the day. Please remember that outside food and drink are allowed to be consumed only in designated outdoor picnic areas, with limited interior dining availability for items procured inside the museum. The cafe’ is open for purchases. We have new COLD grab and go sandwiches and lunch for the whole family inside Barrett Station Depot. The Treehouse Picnic Station offers cold grab and go sandwiches, nachos, drinks, ice cream, chips, cookies and souvenir gift items. Here is the grab’n go menu.
