Come visit the National Museum of Transportation! Full of photographic opportunities, the Museum is open Thursdays through Sundays in January, 9 am – 4 pm. Our knowledgable tour guides are available in the Lindburg Auto Center to answer your questions about our vintage vehicles. Much of our extensive 70-piece locomotive collection is covered under the Roberts Pavilion, plus more nearby, for safe exploring. A tour guide is at hand ready to reply to your inquiries. Perhaps best of all, the Orthwein Visitor Center welcomes guests with our new Sanford N. McDonnell Tribute Exhibit featuring an expansive aircraft display.
Creation Station, an interactive transportation-themed play and educational area geared to one- to five-year olds, is open Thursdays & Fridays, 9:15 | 10:30 | 11:45 am.
Creation Station is open additional boarding sessions on Saturdays & Sundays, 9:15 | 10:30 | 11:45 am | 1:00 | 2:15 pm.

If you are visiting the Museum during this winter season, please arrive early. This will enable us to close sooner in the afternoon allowing us to reduce labor and utility costs. We appreciate your help and understanding during this time.
The National Museum of Transportation continues to feel the extreme financial impact of COVID-19. According to St. Louis County Ordinance #26,590, we are required to stay open during this winter season. This is an additional burden during this 100-year pandemic as attendance remains exceptionally low.
The Museum opens at 9:00 am Thursday through Sunday. The last admission is at 1:00 Thursdays and Fridays, and 2:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. The gates close promptly at 4 pm.
