Early Fords Show
Sunday, May 17 | 10 a.m. ā 2 p.m.
On Sunday, the Museum shifts gears into automotive history with theĀ Early Fords Show, celebrating the vehicles that helped put America on wheels.
Featured clubs include:
- St. Louis Early Ford V-8 Club
- Missouri Valley Region Model A Club
- Model T Ford Club of Greater St. Louis
Fun Ford Facts:
- TheĀ Model T, introduced in 1908, was nicknamed āTin Lizzieā and became the first affordable car for many American families.
- Henry Fordās moving assembly line helped reduce production time for a Model T from over 12 hours to about 90 minutes.
- By 1927, Ford had produced more thanĀ 15 million Model Ts.
- The powerfulĀ Ford Flathead V-8, introduced in 1932, changed automotive performance forever and became a favorite among hot rodders.
The Early Fords Show is included with regular Museum admission.
We are also hostingĀ The Freedom Road Rally May 17th and are expecting an additional 50-60 vehicles with the group visit that will be parking in the Barrett Station lot (parking at C47 plane end of Upper lot).Ā
