Women have played a vital role in shaping the world of transportation, contributing their ingenuity, dedication, and hard work to advancements that we often take for granted. From the invention of windshield wipers to the development of refrigerated rail cars and the construction of iconic structures like the Brooklyn Bridge, women have left their mark on every mode of transportation.
This banner exhibit celebrates the accomplishments of Women in Transportation, highlighting their diverse roles as scientists, project managers, inventors, and adventurers. By showcasing the stories of both famous and unsung heroes, we hope to inspire and educate visitors about the significant contributions women have made to transportation history. NOW ON EXHIBIT THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2025
