| Kirkwood, MO — The National Museum of Transportation is kicking into high gear on Saturday, November 1 with a day packed full of vintage vehicles, wartime history, and brain-teasing trivia! The National Museum of Transportation (TNMOT) is proud to announce its Inaugural Military Vehicle Display, taking place on Saturday, November 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Museum’s campus, 2933 Barrett Station Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122. This special event will feature a remarkable lineup of historic military vehicles, presented in collaboration with the Military Vehicle Preservation Association Midwest Affiliate and the Horseless Carriage Club of Missouri. Visitors will also enjoy a unique opportunity to step inside the Museum’s iconic C-47 Transport Plane, which carried troops and supplies during World War II. In addition, cars from the Brass and Nickel Era will be on display, showcasing the craftsmanship and innovation that shaped early automotive history. Representatives from Wreaths Across America will also be onsite, accepting donations to support their mission of placing live balsam wreaths on veteran headstones during the holiday season. Their presence underscores the Museum’s ongoing commitment to honoring those who have served. Regular Museum admission applies; however, veterans and active-duty military members receive free admission in recognition of their service. “The National Museum of Transportation is honored to host this celebration of American history, innovation, and service,” said Terri McEachern, TNMOT Executive Director. “This event connects our community to the stories of courage and craftsmanship that shaped our nation’s transportation heritage.” Recognized by the Smithsonian Institution as housing “one of the largest and best collections of transportation vehicles,” TNMOT was also voted one of the top five outdoor museums in the country by a USA Today national poll.
