Speaker Series – Charles Lindbergh

The National Museum of Transportation is hosting an exciting free professional Speaker Series from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the second Thursday of the month. The series begins June 10, 2021, and continues through November 11, 2021, at our Earl C. Lindburg Automobile Center on the Mezzanine. To see our series flyer, go here.

The series is open to the the general public and no admission is required, but advanced reservations are necessary to allow us to stay within County restrictions. Member reservations begin April 19, 2021, while non-member reservations begin June 1. TNMOT adheres to St. Louis County pandemic rules: Masks are required and social distancing is mandated.

The topics and presenters are:

  • June 10 – Jason Stratman, Charles Lindbergh: The Man, the Myth, the Legend
  • July 8 – James Erwin, Steamboat Disasters
  • August 12 – William Michael Hart, Historic Missouri Roadside Traveling on a 2-Lane Highway
  • September 9 – Kelly Johnston, All Maps Are Lies
  • October 14 – Sharon Smith, Route 66: Main Street through St. Louis
  • November 11 – Ed Dickens, who ran the working restoration and touring of a “Big Boy” steam locomotive, Union Pacific No. 4014

Note: All presenters will be speaking in person at the Museum with the possible exception of Mr. Dickens, who resides in Wyoming and will be presenting live but potentially virtually in light of the current travel challenges. Thank you for your understanding.
