Holiday Time with Planes, Trains, and Automobiles – and Santa and Reindeer!
Come see Santa from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and his reindeer from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the National Museum of Transportation. Missouri’s largest operating holiday model train displays will be in the Earl C. Lindburg Automobile Center this holiday season–you won’t want to miss these!
Full of photographic opportunities, the Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. TNMOT is primarily an outdoor facility. We will close due to inclement weather. Please call 314.289.3508, ext. 4, for weather updates.
Our knowledgeable tour guides are available in the Earl C. Lindburg Automobile Center to answer your questions about our vintage vehicles. Public guided tours are available at 10 a.m. each open day, weather permitting, no reservation required. Much of our extensive 70-piece locomotive collection is covered under the Roberts Pavilion, plus more nearby, for safe exploring. A tour guide is on hand at the pavilion ready to reply to your inquiries.
Creation Station, an interactive transportation-themed play and educational area geared to one- to five-year olds, is open bonus holiday hours Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4, 2022, 9:15, 10:30. 11:45 a.m., 1:00 & 2:15 p.m.; normal hours are Wednesday through Friday, 9:15 | 10:30 | 11:45 a.m. Creation Station also has boarding sessions the 1st and 3rd Sunday at 9:15 | 10:30 | 11:45 a.m. | 1 | 2:15 p.m.
The Miniature Train operates Saturday/Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., weather and mechanicals permitting.
The Trolley operates on Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., weather and mechanicals permitting. The Trolley is free with paid admission to the Museum.
