The National Museum of Transportation remains closed through at least mid-May 2020 as the world works through COVID-19. While we are closed, we are busy! TNMOT’s 42 acres will be more welcoming and beautiful than ever, with extra social distancing and other safety features, for our guests when the time comes to open soon.
MAINTENANCE…brushing up!
While we certainly miss our guests at the Museum, we’ve used this time to paint artifacts, benches, handrails, and high traffic areas that are typically difficult to paint during the season.
LANDSCAPING…a program rooted in great volunteers!
Tessa, April and Deb are working daily to ensure the grounds are maintained. While they are trying to keep up, they continually say, ‘We really need our volunteers!’ We’re hoping our grounds and gardens are open soon and our volunteers are back doing what they do best!
